Care for One Another (Giving Tuesday)

Come on, people now

Smile on your brother

Everybody get together

Try to love one another right now

Get Together – The Youngbloods (1967)

Today is ‘Giving Tuesday’, the global movement to help others less fortunate. At least this is our interpretation at Hamilton Wealth. Today, we donated $30,000 to organizations we believe are doing exemplary work to help those in need.

From Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, CEO of Feeding America:

“It has become possible to forget how much we have in common…when our politics have served to divide us intensely, we must find a way to unite with a common purpose: to care for one another…Hunger transcends party lines. With 47 million people facing hunger in the U.S., it exists in plain sight in every community, whether we choose to see it or not…How can we unleash our love for our neighbors and start treating hunger like the national disaster that it is? Of the 47 million people who are affected, nearly 14 million are children. We must show them the way forward, together, in a shared conviction that every person deserves nutritious food, that every person deserves love.”

(Time Magazine, November 25, 2024)

$16,000,000,000 (Estimate of the billions spent on the 2024 presidential election, most of which went to media & negative ads designed to incite hate for one another)

Most of our donation went to the LA Food Bank, an incredible organization that feeds nearly 1 million of our food insecure neighbors in LA county every month. We also gave money to the following organizations today:

 Veterans Community Project

 Planned Parenthood

Boys and Girls Clubs of America

 Mothers Against Media Addiction

 Client Earth

 ProPublica

Keep in mind, you can gift highly appreciated stock (instead of cash) to many charitable organizations. And if you’ve donated time and/or money this year to helps others, thank you for being a force for good in the world.

None of this would be possible without you. We are truly grateful.

Thank you!
